Abstract: LOYOLA, CARMELLA G. and TANADA, JANINE MAY B., Evaluation of Linkages of Cavite State University with Other Agencies from 2010 to 2014. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Economics, major in Business and Agricultural Economics. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Dr. Luzviminda A. Rodrin. The study was conducted to identify the linkages of Cavite State University (CvSU) in terms of instruction research, and extension; determine the benefits derived by the University from linkages and consortia with other agencies; determine the costs incurred by the University from linkages and consortia. The secondary data were taken from files compiled by different offices and colleges of Cavite State University- Don Severino delas Alas Campus were utilized in to have clear understanding regarding the study. The linkages in terms of Instruction shows that College of Economics, Management, and Development Studies, had the highest number of linkages for the OJT of its students with a total of 287 linkages. This is followed by the College of Arts and Sciences, with 217 linkages, and the College of Engineering and Information Technology, with 174 linkages. In classification of OJT linkages as to private agencies and public institutions. CEMDS has the highest number of private linkages with 249 agencies, followed by CAS and CEIT with 144 and 101 respectively. Parmer agencies of instruction provided P24,391,613.60. There were 28 researches conducted in the University which accumulated a fund amounting to P105,199,596.29. Partner agencies provided a counterpart fund of P89,319,048.29 while the remaining P15,880,548 was shouldered by the University. There were 49 classified extension activities in the University from 2010-2014. Department of Agriculture/ Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research/ Department of Agriculture- Agricultural Training Institute funded the most research with six projects namely: PCAARD, CHEd, DA, DOE, and PCIERD. Extension linkages, were divided into four major areas namely: education/ literacy, livelihood generation, health and wellness, and environment. There were 22 extension activities identified in education/literacy. Among these projects, 12 were in the local level, six on national level, and four projects were under the international level. Extension funds amounting to P23,600,945.09 was used for accomplishing different projects. The fund amounting to P12,554,375.09 was gained from outside sources while the remaining P11,046,570.00 was incurred from the University. Based on data gathered, the economic benefits surpassed the university’s economic costs. Based on the data gathered it is highly recommended for the university to continue establishing linkage with other agencies in order to deliver more helpful and significant project to its clienteles.
