Abstract: ATANGAN, MARK NICOLAS C. and MANUEL, ROSHAYNE AMIEL C. Development of E-Learning System on Horticulture NC Il in the College of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Natural Resources, Cavite State University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Ms. Vanessa G. Coronado. The development of e-learning system on horticulture National Certification Il in the College of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Natural Resources, Cavite State University was created to serve as an alternative learning tool for the effective training of the candidates enrolled in horticulture. It was conducted from June 2014 to February 2015 at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Furthermore, the study aimed to introduce technology as a new learning style, minimize expenses incurred during training and to help the user to cope up with the misunderstood topics and learn more with an interactive approach. Iterative and incremental software development was the methodology used in developing the software. It consists of four phases namely; requirements phase, design phase, implementation phase, and the review phase. The developed e-learning system was composed of five modules; account management module, content management module, interaction and collaboration module, quiz module, and report module. The system was evaluated by the end-users using a questionnaire anchored in ISO 9126, the international standard for the evaluation of software quality based on the five criteria; functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The interpreted result of the evaluation shows that the system fully meets the expectations. In accordance with the results of the study, the development of an e-learning system on horticulture National Certification Il can be a solution to the identified problems. And to further enhance the system the following recommendations were suggested; the administrator should be the one to add the candidates as the users, create a Filipino version for better understanding, add the actual National Certificate (NC) exams, and make a compilation of the presentations and lectures for each competency available in mobile phones.
