The study was conducted to determine the level of awareness and preparedness of selected residents of Silang, Cavite towards West Valley Fault risks. Specifically, the study aimed to: determine the level of exposure of the residents to the communication strategies used by the Municipality of Silang about West Valley Fault risks; determine the level of awareness of barangays Carmen, Inchican and Puting Kahoy on WVF risks brought by the exposure to communication strategies; determine the level of preparedness of the residents of the three barangays; and to determine the relationship between awareness and preparedness of selected residents of Silang, Cavite towards West Valley Fault risks. The study used the descriptive research design. Convenience sampling technique was used to select the participants. The participants were composed of 150 selected residents from barangays Inchican, Puting Kahoy and Carmen. The survey questionnaires were pre-tested by the selected residents of Silang, Cavite to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument. The study revealed that the participants were moderately exposed to the communication strategies used by the local government of Silang,Cavite regarding West Valley Fault risk.

Results showed that participants were highly aware on West Valley Fault risks. Findings of the study also revealed that the participants are highly prepared Towards West Valley Fault risks. The study proved that there is a high significant relationship between exposure of the selected residents to communication strategies and awareness of the residents towards West Valley Fault risks. Lastly, the study proved that there is a significant relationship between the participant's level of awareness and preparedness towards West Valley Fault risks.
