This study aimed to determine the Work Setting, Problems Encountered and Adjustment level of Psychology graduates batch 2012 and 2013 of Cavite State University Main Campus. Specifically it aimed to determine the work setting of the psychology graduates batch 2012 and 2013 in terms of a.) industrial setting b.) clinical setting c.) educational setting d.) other setting; determine the problems encountered by the psychology graduates in terms of a.) salary b.) job involvement c.) supervisor d.) coworkers e.) confidentiality f.) rights g.) work place condition h.) work load; determine the adjustment level of psychology graduates batch 2012 and 2013; determine the relationship between the work setting and problems encountered by the psychology graduates; determine the relationship between the work setting and adjustment level of psychology graduates; and determine the relationship between the problems encountered and the adjustment level of psychology graduates.
This study used a descriptive-correlational research design. The convenient sampling method was used to determine the psychology graduates of batch 2012 and 2013 of Cavite State University Main Campus as participants. The study utilized a selfmade test instrument for currently employed Psychology graduates of Batch 2012 and 2013 of Cavite State University Main Campus. The study was conducted from November
2015 to January 2016 in different areas within Cavite.
General findings showed that majority of the participants are working in the industrial setting, some of the psychology graduates are working in the other setting outside the field of psychology as a customer service representative, some are working in educational setting as teacher and guidance counselor and it has been found out that no psychology graduates from batch 2012 and 2013 works in the clinical setting.
Meanwhile, they do not experience problems with their salary, job involvement, supervisor, co-workers, confidentiality, rights, workplace, and workload. Furthermore, the participants have high level of adjustment.
The results of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between the adjustment level and problems encountered by the participants, since the null hypothesis was rejected. On the other hand, there is no significant relationship between the work setting and problems encountered and also there is no significant relationship between the problems encountered and adjustment level of the participants.
