Relation, Self-Efficacy, Coping Mechanisms of Bullied High School Students of Selected Private High Schools in Trece Martires City, Cavite. Undergraduate thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2014. Thesis Adviser: Ms. Mary Joyce B. Eyaya.
The purpose of this study was to determine the family relations, the level of selfefficacy and coping mechanisms of bullied high school students of selected high schools
in Trece Martires City, Cavite. The research covered only the relationship of family relation and self-efficacy, family relation and coping mechanisms, and self-efficacy to coping mechanisms of two hundred fourteen (214) private high school students.
The design that was used in this study was descriptive correlational design. For the sampling procedure, complete enumeration method was used to include all such objects that satisfy a set of well-defined selection criteria. From here, Siovin's formula is used to calculate the sample size and fishbowl technique was used in selecting the school in order to conduct the study. To gather the necessary data, the following research instruments were used: Family Functioning Style Scale lifted from Deal, Trivette and Dunst (2005) and General Self-efficacy Scale lifted from Schwarzer & Jerusalem (1995) and Coping Strategies Inventory lifted from Tobin (2001), the latter modified by the researchers. The results from this study supported one out of the three hypotheses.
The results indicated that males and females have different coping mechanisms
for dealing with stress also, that self-efficacy that used to control the stress in able to perform well tasks and the family as the major role in giving the needs of the student. It

adds to the literature available to institutions and health professionals to better understand how to effectively implement measures to help students deal with stress and which coping methods are more effective than others.
