An enterprise development project entitled "Production and Marketing of Herbal Soap: An Entrepreneurial Project" was conducted at 013 Bancod, Indang, Cavite to determine the profitability of soap, identify the production processes involved, identify problems and formulate feasible solutions to the identified problems.
The amount of P4,374.00 was initially invested to start the project, which was utilized to buy the necessary tools and equipment. The project involved the production of 500 pieces of Aloe Vera soap, 300 pieces of Oregano soap and 200 pieces of mixed Aloe Vera and Oregano soap (total of 1000 pieces of herbal soap). The soaps that were made used the following ingredients: 50 kg of soap chips, 3 kg of Aloe Vera plants, and 2 kg of Oregano plants.
Production and delivery was done everyday, except Sunday. The identified activities involved in the production are chopping, blending, juice extraction, melting, mixing, molding, ageing, packaging and labeling was done during the production of herbal soap. The return on investment (ROI) of herbal soap production was is 53.37%.
