The study was conducted to examine the effects of sports participation in the social attitude of a high school student-athlete in Constancio E. Aure Sr. National High School. Specifically, the study described the profile of the student-athlete; determined the effect level of sports participation of the student-athlete; determined the social attitude of the student-athlete in terms of competitive, dominant, self-confident, achievement- oriented and self-discipline; determined whether there is a significant relationship between the sports participation and the respondent’s social attitude; and determined whether there is a significant difference between the social attitude and the respondent’s demographic profile.

The study used descriptive research design. The male participating in sports was 57 and female was 30 with a total of 87 student-athletes participating in sports from Constancion E. Aure Sr. National High School. The statistical treatments of data were used to answer the statement of the problem.

Result revealed that the highest average age of the respondents who participated in sports was 14-15 years old. The social attitude of the respondents was measured in terms of competitive, dominant, self-confident, achievement-oriented and self-discipline and got all moderately favorable which means positive. In addition of the result was there is no significant relationship between the sports participation and the respondent’s social attitude and there is no significant difference between the social attitude and the respondent’s demographic profile. Test statistics showed that in terms of the sports participation, the effects of social attitude and sports participation in the social attitude of a high school student-athlete was neutral.
