The study was conducted generally to compare the difference of risk tolerance of male and female entrepreneurs in selected areas of Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: determine the socio-demographic profile of male and female entrepreneurs; (2) determine the profile of their business; (3) determine the risk tolerance of male and female entrepreneurs; (4) determine the significant difference in the level of risk tolerance based on their socio-demographic profile; (5) determine the significant relationship between socio-demographic profile of male and female entrepreneurs and level of risk tolerance affecting the financial decision making; (6) and determine the significant relationship between the profile of business and level of risk tolerance affecting the financial decision-making.

The participants of the study were 185 male and 215 female entrepreneurs is selected areas of Cavite. The gathered data from the survey were analyzed using the frequency count, percentage, range, mean, and standard deviation. Chi-square, spearman rank and T-test were also used to analyze the data.

The socio-demographic profile of male and female entrepreneurs such as age, educational attainment and civil status were found not significantly related with the risk tolerance in terms of financial decision-making. The profile of the business of male entrepreneurs such as number of employees, years of operation and capital assets was found significantly related to risk tolerance in terms of financial decision- making.

The study revealed that risk tolerance of female entrepreneurs when grouped according to civil status has a significant difference. Moreover, there was also a significant relationship between profile of the business in terms of capital assets of female entrepreneurs and level of risk tolerance affecting the financial decision-making.
