The study was designed to determine the effect of interpersonal relationship and self-esteem to the work attitude of production operators in Cavite Nagano Seiko Inc. This study used descriptive correlational design. Also, stratified random sampling was also used to come up with the desired number of participants. The data was gathered by using
a self-made and modified questionnaires and was classified and analyzed using mean, standard deviation and spearman rank formula.
The result of this study suggest that the level of interpersonal relationship and self-esteem of production operators were high while their level of work attitude was moderate. It was also revealed that a positive correlation exist between interpersonal relationship, self-esteem and work attitude of the participants. Taken together, these results suggest that production operators maintain a good interpersonal relationship with their co-workers and superiors. They feel a sense of self-worth capable of facing different circumstances in the workplace. They also express their attitudes at the appropriate time and situation producing less conflict at work. Further, self-esteem can also affects an employee's interpersonal relationship as well as productivity and attitude. Likewise interpersonal relationship has a great impact for production operators' in acquiring positive or negative impressions or opinions from their co-workers and superiors in the workplace.
