The study 'Response of Mabolo (Diospyros discolor Wild) Seedlings to Varying Concentrations of GA Com— tined with Different Levels of Ammonium Sulfate" was con— ducted at the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from September 23, 1981, to January 27, 1982, to determine the best concentration of gibberellic acid combined with different levels of ammonium sulfate that would give favorable effect on the growth of mabolo seedlings.
Mabolo seedlings were taken from the Nursery Project of the Don Severino Agricultural College. These were rebagged and applied with and grams of ammonium sulfate and were sprayed with 150 ppm, 200 ppm and 250 ppm of gibberellic acid Seedlings were left untreated under the control, A split—plot design was used in this study.
Highly significant results were obtained from the experiment in terms of the average number of leaves and average fresh weight of seedlings as affected by gibberellic acid and ammonium sulfate, However, insignificant results were obtained in the average height of seedlings and average length of leaves as affected by gibberellic acid and ammonium sulfate,
