The study, "Moisture Loss from Different Soi I Surface Conditions, was conducted at the experimental field of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from January to March 1992. It aimed to determine the moisture loss from different soil surface conditions and compare the moisture loss from c lay and sandy type of soil., It aimed also to establish the rate of moisture 1055
The total land area of 77 square meters was used in the study. It was composed of two b locks representing two types of soil: e lay and sandy.
Results indicated that different soil surface conditions inf the of
mulched with rice straw has the I rate of moisture loss. It has an average rate of O a SB per cent pep Unmatched pulverized soil surface had the hi ghost rate of moisture loss of 2075 per cent per day.
