The study was conducted from May 2017 to May 2018 at Burgos Street, Brgy. I, Alfonso, Cavite and Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite and was aimed to develop a sales and inventory system for De La Salle Dr. Rodolfo Poblete Memorial Hospital Pharmacy. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) design a sales and inventory system with the requirements of point of sales, inventory of products, and sales and inventory reports; 2) design a system using Iterative Development Model; 3. create the system using Visual Studio 2013 C# Windows Form Application and Microsoft SQL Server; and 4) test and evaluate the system. Furthermore, the system was built to enable fast process of making inventory reports and efficient transaction within the customer.
The researchers used the Iterative Development Model in the development of the system that consists of six phases, namely; requirements phase, analysis and design phase, implementation phase, testing phase, evaluation phase, and the deployment phase. The system has three user levels of access: administrator, head pharmacist, and pharmacist. The system contains five main modules which are account management module, point of sales module, inventory monitoring module with medicines sub-module, file maintenance module, and report generation module. The system passed all the different criteria and met the requirements and objectives in this study.
