This study was conducted to assess the solid waste management in the health and environmental aspects as perceived by the selected community residents in Mendez, Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the demographic profile of the selected community residents in Mendez, Cavite; identify the adapted waste management activities in the Municipality; determine the level of health and environmental implications of waste management to the participants; identify the extent implementation of waste management in Mendez, Cavite in terms of health, environment and welfare; identify the significant relation of waste management implementation to the health and environment implication level of the participants; determine the social work intervention can be designed based on the findings of this research.

Descriptive-correlational research design was used in the study and the purposive sampling method was utilized to assess the solid waste management in the health and environmental aspects as perceived by the selected community residents in Mendez, Cavite.

The participants of this study were the residents of Mendez, Cavite. This also included one registered social worker from the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office in Mendez, Cavite.

The results of the study revealed that every household of Mendez, Cavite is required to highly implement the segregation and another activity, the MRF or the Materials Recovery Facility near the barangay hall for the whole community_ the adapted activities are helpful and beneficial to their organized community. Trading will also help because the respondents collected plastics and trade for rice so they could save money and the trading of plastic will help the schools and other institutions by donating them a chair and other eco-decor.

Solid waste management was highly implemented_ this study also revealed that mismanagement of solid waste can really affect the people. The selected barangays of Mendez_ Cavite proved that it is possible to avoid the difficulties in a community by solid waste management programs and to introduce it to other municipalities.

Aside from this, the study revealed that selected residents are still helping each other just to have a better result, just like in their community they help each other to lessen the garbage and to prevent diseases that Axil' caught from the garbage that messed around. They are doing their finest to secure the cleanliness and to build-up and rehabilitate a good and new locality.
