JOVY P. CABANYAN and PAUL MC JOHN D. JUNTURA. An Expert System for Troubleshooting Micro ATX Motherboards. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2010. Adviser: Mr. Marlon R. Perena. The study was conducted to provide a comprehensive development and analysis of an Expert System for Troubleshooting Micro ATX Motherboards. The system provides functionality that simulates a human expertise into computer process and diagnosing to solve the problem The system also provides graphical presentation and information needed in troubleshooting motherboards. Summary/History of diagnosing was also provided by the system. Prototyping Model was used as the development methodology which has four phases: Prototype Requirements, Prototype Design, Prototype System, and Testing. The system was developed through the use of different development tools. Visual Basic 6.0 for the coding and interface design of the system, and Microsoft Access as the data storage of the system. The system was evaluated by the respondents based on the given criteria: visual design and usability, content and features of the system, and acceptance criteria. Evaluators were composed of computer technicians of Department of Information Technology, Laboratory Assistants, and other users. The system passed all the given criteria in the evaluation and met all the targeted features and functionality as well as the requirements of the software.
