CANTERAS, JOHN PAULO A, and PARADO, JAY L, IMPROVEMENT OF AUTO
ENGINE AND AUTO LPG ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OF 2NZ-FE INSTRUCTIONAL TRAINER.
Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Industrial Technology, major in Automotive
Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Prof. Danielito R. Escano.
The (ER) Electronic Fuel Injected engine has become the most popular and powerful
engine in our new generation nowadays. The primary fuel delivery system used in these
engines had completely replaced the older design of carbureted engine design of automobile.
The Toyota 2NZ-FE engine model is equipped with a sensor such as fuel injector, manifold
absolute pressure sensor, throttle position sensor, intake air temperature sensor, check engine,
oxygen sensor and an electronic control unit that helps the engine to run smoothly.
The study aimed to improve and enhance the auto engine and auto LPG electrical
system of the existing Toyota 2NZ-FE electrical fuel injected instructional trainer. The
improvement of the whole auto engine electrical system is to speed up the skills of the students
not only in troubleshooting but also rewiring the whole engine. This improvement also lessens
the errors committed by the students because the connections are properly labeled for clearer
distinction. The researchers followed the different procedures for the design and improvement
of the existing 2NZ-FE instructional trainer. The frame of the trainer was originally fitted on the
existing frame. The angular bar holding the acrylic glass was reconstructed using new 1"x 1"
angular bars. The author removed the old acrylic glass holder to the original position placed in
the back of the
engine.
This was done to change the new acrylic glass and change the size of the old angular bar
into the bigger size to fit into the new acrylic glass. The acrylic glass measured a perfect
dimension of 31"x29". The authors replaced the original holding of the acrylic glass because the
old holder of the acrylic glass is very small to hold the wiring of the ECU ENGINE and LPG ECU
the original size of the holding of the acrylic glass is 17" x 20". For better functionality of the
mock-up improve the terminal block connections to not loss current to the banana jack,
Purchase better or thicker quality of acrylic glass to not brake easily, Purchase better Starter
motor to not have uncommon noise when starting.
