The study entitled "Proposed Design of a Four-Storey Multi-purpose Building in Imus Heritage Park at Alapan II-B, Imus City" was conducted at Cavite State University Main Campus from October 2018 to June 2019. The general objective of the study was to design a Four-Storey Mufti-purpose Building in Imus Heritage Park at Alapan II-B, Imus City. Specifically, the study aimed to provide architectural plans, structural plans, electrical and plumbing layouts of the proposed structure, to provide a structural design of the structure, and to provide a detailed cost estimate to be used in the construction. The study aimed to provide a physical development plan and to design a Four- Storey Multi-purpose Building in Imus Heritage Park at Alapan II-B, Imus City. There is no limit in the lot area provided that the location for the design of the project is between the proposed lagoon and the rear path walk of the heritage park. The floor area of the building 1,122.805 square meters. The total height of the project is 14.5 meters from the natural ground line to roof deck slab level. The study included architectural and structural plans, electrical and plumbing layouts. The architectural plans, structural plans, electrical and plumbing layouts were drawn using Computer Aided Drafting Device (CADD) and Google Sketch Up software. The analysis of structural members was obtained with the aid of Structural Aided Analysis and Design (STAAD) software.
Structural plans included the design of the slabs, beams, columns and footings. The estimated cost of the proposed design project was P 52,627,635.75 having a cost of P 12,276.50 per square meter. The data gathered from the computations of the structural members of the proposed project were found safe and economical; and could be used for future implementation.
The authors recommend enhancing the green building features of the proposed design with reference to the other provisions of the Philippine Green Building Code, and in addition, this design project was recommended to be used as reference for future implementation and for future research.
