Magsino. <br/>Identification, description and collection of lesser known leaf and shoot vegetables used by local folks in three selected towns of Upland Cavite namely: Indang, Mendez and Tagaytay City was undertaken through the collection of live plants and seeds, a germplasrn of lesser known leaf and shoot vegetable was established at the greenhouse of the Biological Science Department. Twenty lesser known leaf and shoots vegetables were identified. Ten of them were obtained in Indang, seven in Tagaytay City and three in Mendez. Most of the species were found growing as weed or as wild plants and very few were cultivated in gardens. These species are being used by barrio folks in various dishes or eaten fresh. They are considered substitute/alternative for other introduced and expensive vegetables in the market.<br/>
