The project, ‘Profitability of Mongo Using Furrow Method” was conducted in Barangay Lumipa, General Aguinaldo,Cavite from August 30 to December 4, 1985. This aimed to impart to the farmer –cooperator the technical knowledge and theories in modern farming.
The farmer-cooperator was provided with five gantas of mongo seeds which costs P 225.00; one bag of fertilizer (Urea) costing P 280.00; and insecticide costing P 85.00. The amount of P 4, 430.00 was spent for the labor. The total expenses was P 2,195.00.
Out of five (5) gantas of mongo planted, 77 gantas were harvested which were sold at P45.00 per gantas. The gross return of the project was P3,465.00.
After subtracting the total expenses of P1,520.00, the project got a total net income of P1, 935.00
