The farm practice "Growing Corn Using Ammonium Sulfate and Urea" was conducted at Kaytambog, Indang, Cavite from October to February 1988 to determine the production of corn in the said place. A 2,500 square meter field was plowed and har-rowed two times at an interval of one week to allow weed seeds to germinate and the organic material to undergo decomposition as well. The last plowing was followed by harrowing to ensure the levelling of the land. Planting was done on the last week of October after broadcasting the Urea and the Ammonium Sulfate fertilizer basally on the rows. The seeds were drilled in the furrows with two to three seeds per bill. On the last week of January the farmer cooperator together with some Student Outreach Agents harvested the crop. On the third week of February, the dried shelled corn was sold which gave a gross income of P164.00.
