<br/><br/> The project Intercropping "Gabing Tagalog" with Tomato was conducted at the production area of the Department of Plant Science of Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from August, 1991 to January, 1992, for the period of six months. It aimed to develop knowledge and skills in handling intercropping project. An area of 1,500 square meters was utilized for the project. After thorough land preparation; furrows were set 90 centimeters apart and 50 centimeters between hills were gabi setts were planted. Tomato seedlings were transplanted in between rows of gabi at a distance of 90 centimeters between rows and 50 centimeters between hills. Harvesting of gabi was done 190 days after planting while tomato was harvested 90 days after planting. "Gabing Tagalog '' yielded 850 kilograms sold at P12/kg and tomato, 1,200 kilograms sold at P5 and P4/ kg. Giving a gross income of P15,625. After deducting the overall expenses of P8,518.49, the project gave a net income of P7,106.51 which was higher than the expected output
