The project entitled PRODUCTION OF INTERCROPPED PEANUT (Arachis hypogaea, L.) AND CORN (Zea mays, L.) WITH ORGANIC FERTILIZER was conducted in Tres Cruses, Tanza, Cavite from November 1994 to February 1995. This project aimed to provide actual experience on the production of intercropped peanut and corn with the use of organic fertilizer during the dry season and to increase crop yield and farm income by adopting recommended intercropping practices using corn as the main crop and peanut as the intercropped. Peanut was harvested 90 days after planting. Seventy five cans of peanut were harvested from the area of 2500 square meter lot. Corn was harvested 80 days after planting, 10 days before harvesting peanut. A total of 6,550 fresh corn ear was harvested in the same area. From the project a net income of P8,629.50 was obtained after deducting the total expenses of P7,9021.50 from the total sales of P15,650.00. The project obtained a 122.90% return on investment (ROI).
