The study was conducted in selected areas of Cavite from January to March 2019. The study specifically aimed to: (1) determine the socio-demographic profile of young farmers; (2) determine how effective do the young farmers manage their income; (3) identify the level of financial stress of young farmers; (4) ascertain the relationship between socio-demographic profile and personal finance management of young farmers; (5) ascertain the relationship between socio-demographic profile and financial stress of young farmers; and lastly, (6) ascertain the relationship between personal finance management and financial stress of young farmers.

The study used Spearman's rank correlation and Kruskal- Wallis to determine the significant relationship between socio-demographic profile and personal finance management, socio-demographic profile and financial stress, and personal finance management and financial stress of young farmers. The researchers used purposive sampling technique in the selection of 106 young farmers from Naic, Indang and Amadeo.

To answer the given problems, descriptive and correlational analysis where used. Results of the study showed that young farmers in Cavite ranged from 36 to 40 years old. Majority (62%) of the young farmers were male and only 38 percent were female. In addition, most of the participants’ estimated monthly income ranged from P1,000 to P25,000.

The findings revealed that there was a significant relationship between socio- demographic profile and personal finance management in terms of budgeting and savings. In addition, findings showed that there was a significant relationship between socio-demographic profile and financial stress of the participants in terms of their sex and monthly income. Lastly, there was also a significant relationship between personal finance management and financial stress in terms of debt and spending.
