The study was conducted from January to April 2019. A total of 202 sole proprietors were the participants of the study. It was bounded only to the sole proprietors found in the selected areas of Cavite namely: Bacoor City, Imus City and Trece Martires City. It enclosed those sole proprietors who have availed loan at least once, since January of the year 2018 in microcredit institutions.

Specifically, the study aimed to: determine the socio-demographic profile of sole proprietors such as age, Sex, civil status, educational attainment and estimated income; determine the credit accessibility of sole proprietors; determine the level of satisfaction of sole proprietors such as amount of loan granted, cost of borrowing, term of loan and mode of payment collection; determine the relationship between sole proprietors’ socio-demographic profile with their access to credit and level of satisfaction and identify the different problems that sole proprietors encountered during loan application. Descriptive and correlational research designs were used in the study.

Most of the participants were 27 to 34 years of age and 47 to 50 years of age, female, married, high school graduate and has a monthly net income ranging from Php 8,701 to 14,400.

The results revealed that the participants have an easy access to credit and very satisfied towards loan application; the results also revealed that the socio- demographic profile of the sole proprietors has no significant association with access to credit and level of satisfaction; lastly, the results showed that most of the sole proprietors have not encountered any problems during loan application.
