Development of management of information system for Barangay Banaba Lejos, lndang, Cavite aimed to help the officials of the barangay to solve the problems. The system helps the personnel of the barangay in storing and securing important information such as residents' information, budget of the barangay and it allows them to generate reports that are needed. The system also helps the officials in printing different types of forms requested by the residents.
The methodology used in developing the system is iterative that is divided into five phases. Planning and requirements phase, analysis and design phase, implementation phase, testing phase and evaluation phase are the five phases. The proponents used different types of machine language in creating the system, MY Structured Query Language (MySQL) version 10.9.1 used for the database, Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) was used in development language, Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading style sheets (CSS) we are used in creating the graphic user interface (GUI) and Microsoft Office Word for the documentation.
The system undergone series of testing and evaluation using the indicators one (1) to five (5) wherein 1 is poor, 2 as fair, 3 as good, 4 as very good, and 5 as excellent. The system was evaluated by 10 information technology experts and 10 barangay personnel to verify the functionality of the system, portability, maintainability, efficiency, reliability, usability and user-friendliness.
