The study was conducted to determine the level of awareness and knowledge of selected students of Cavite State University of graphic health warnings and to determine their attitude and practices towards smoking. In addition, the study aimed to determine the relationship between awareness and knowledge of graphic health warnings on tobacco product packages and the attitude and practices towards smoking.

Descriptive correlational design was used as the research design of the study and Pearson correlation coefficient, frequency, standard deviation, and mean as statistical tools.

Results showed that participants were highly aware and highly knowledgeable of the graphic health warnings on tobacco product packages. Meanwhile, they were only moderately favorable and had moderate practice towards smoking.

Based on these results, the relationship between awareness of graphic health warnings on tobacco packages and attitude and practice towards smoking turned out to be not significant. This means that the awareness of the participants on graphic health warnings on tobacco packages does not affect their attitude and practices towards smoking. However, there was a significant relationship between knowledge of graphic health warnings on tobacco packages and their attitude towards smoking which means as the higher the knowledge on graphic health warnings, the higher favorable they were towards smoking.

There was no significant relationship between knowledge of participants to graphic health warnings on tobacco packages and their practices towards smoking.
