The study entitled, “Development of an Online Application and Examination of University Computer Center - Cavite State University ” was conducted to completely automate the old manual procedure of conducting exams. The system was developed to keep the records of the examinee as well the as the records of questionnaires and it helps the faculty and staff of University Computer Center department to easily check the papers of the examinee. In addition to that, the system can provide the results of the examination for computer technician applicants and OJT students. The system helped the user ease the examination process by using a computer instead of using a traditional paper-pen type of taking an examination.

The developed online application for the examination in University Computer Center at Cavite State University was divided into six modules, the Account Management Module, Administration Interface Module, Registration Module, Communication Module, Report Module and Examination Module.

The application used in the development of the system are PHP as a scripting language, MySQL as the database, Apache as the server, Adobe Photoshop for graphic design and user interface.

The Iterative Development was the development methodology used which have seven phases: Planning, Requirements, Analysis and Design, Implementation, Testing, Deployment and Evaluation Phase. The system was evaluated based on the given criteria: Functionality, Reliability, Usability, Efficiency, Maintainability, Portability, and User-Friendliness.

The software went through evaluation and tested by 100 Information Technology students and 10 Information. The system passed all the given criteria in the evaluation and met all the requirements of the software.
