Grade Aide: Development of Grade Management System Implementing Two Factor Authentication for Cavite State University — Main Campus was developed to provide convenience to the system of uploading and modifying grades with strengthened security by sending one-time password through email. The study was conducted from February 2018 to May 2019 at Cavite State University -Main Campus.
It has three levels of access — administrator, registrar, and instructor. The system consists of four modules — account management module, security verification module, schedule management module, and grade management module.
In developing the software, Mobile-D methodology, an Agile approach, was used. The software was evaluated by 117 participants - 100 instructors from Cavite State University — Main Campus, 7 registrars, 10 IT experts. A software evaluation sheet based on ISO 9126 was used as the research instrument.
The system was evaluated with the criteria of functionality, reliability, usability, portability, efficiency, maintainability, and user-friendliness. The system passed the evaluation criteria and met all the requirements and objectives while garnering an overall mean of 4.74.
Through the use of the developed system, a more convenient way of uploading of grades and more secured data manipulation can be provided thus, the system could enable the university to provide its best performance in terms of grade management.
