Mobile banking is a technological advancement that provides banking services by means of a telecommunication device. This involves communicating with the bank to manage the account in order to obtain specific data or process a transaction. Small enterprises have adopted this digital development to their business operations with the intention of enhancing the management of their finances. This study was conducted from August 2021 to June 2022 to investigate the associated risks and benefits of advanced mobile banking technology for selected small enterprises in Dasmariņas City, Cavite. Specifically, it was conducted to: 1. describe the business profile of small enterprises; 2. describe how often small enterprises use advanced mobile banking technology; 3. identify the types of mobile banking technology frequently used by enterprises; 4. describe advanced mobile banking in terms of usability and convenience; accessibility and control features; security and safety; and transaction costs; 5. describe how risky is advanced mobile banking technology; 6. describe how beneficial is advanced mobile banking technology; and 7. determine if there is a significant difference between the risks and benefits. The research process was conducted using a quantitative approach employing a descriptive-comparative design. Fifty participants who engaged in mobile banking were selected using purposive sampling. The majority form of business organization among small enterprises is the sole proprietorship, which employs 3 to 4 people that have been running their businesses for either 0 to 2 years or 3 to 5 years. The study revealed that small enterprises perceived mobile banking as highly beneficial and with very low risk. It is very evident that it is useful and convenient, secure and safe, cost-effective and offers great features that are accessible to the users. The significant difference between the risks and benefits of advanced mobile banking technology for selected small enterprises in Dasmariņas City, Cavite implies that the businesses gain more benefits than risks when using the technology by making every operation efficient. Thus, the study recommended that people take advantage of the benefits of making financial transactions more convenient through the use of advanced mobile banking. At the same time, mitigate the minimal risk it may possibly cause by means of proper implementation.
