PEBENITO, EJ APOLLO VENITTO G., AND SIY, EMMANUEL. Greenprint: An Urban Vertical Forest and Botanical Garden. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Arch. Kenn Paolo C. Valero.

This study about an urban vertical forest park and botanical garden was conducted from November 2021 to January 2022. The study was situated in Indang, Cavite. Its objective was to design a vertical park that will help the province to have a cleaner and cooler environment with the help of the trees inside the building. It also aimed to: 1. design for reforestation of the country to address environmental concern and issue in a unique way; 2. create vertical structure dedicated to reforestation to compensate the loss hectare of forest in the city; 3. recharge the city through the system called Greening the city; 4. serve as space for re-planting hardwood trees and cultivation facility; 5. create a place or sanctuary for endemic plants and trees to protect and reproduced them; and 6. improve the way of living of people in the urban area in the country. The researcher's solution is in the form of a fully rendered architectural drawing. This includes conceptual sheet, plan, elevation, section, and perspective. They also followed factors to consider in designing a vertical park. This included character within where the site is situated, laws and ordinance provided by the government related agencies, orientation for better lighting and ventilation for an open building, its structural capacity to hold different loads such as the mass of live, dead, wind, trees, plants, its access to market the structure to the tourists, the landscaping of the indoor room, areas, plants and trees, and the aesthetic of the vertical park to be known, not just for being the first in the Philippines.
