MOSQUEDA, DIELYN P., and SADURAL, LEO ANGELO M. CONEXION (Center on Nourishing Exortive Conditions): The Cavite Mental Well-Being and Psychiatric Center. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Arch. Kathleen N. Bescaser.

This thesis sought to analyze the concerns related to mental illness that contributes to the attainment of the sustainable development goals through a comprehensive mental health program that includes a wide range of promotive, preventive, treatment, and rehabilitative services. The research focused on the limited health facilities and human resources for mental health and on substantial gaps and inconsistencies in the delivery of mental health services in the Philippines. The Mental Health Act passed by the congress provides an excellent foundation for the provision of comprehensive and integrated mental health services. The study will produce a safe, nurturing, and better development by designing a regional mental health facility, research and training center that is dedicated to handling the challenge of limited mental health facilities and treating individuals with mental illness. The new mental health space will also introduce the serious mental disorder known as Schizophrenia, which is becoming more common in Calabarzon. Mental health has a significant impact on overall quality of life. As a result, it stands to reason that mental health, like physical health, requires attention and maintenance. And one way to keep it going is to cultivate a sense of community; aiming to make accessible and affordable mental healthcare available is a good solution to the shortage of mental health services. A number of considerations were developed by the proponents during the planning and design process, which include the application of various principles and eligible requirements for mental health space. In accordance with this project, the concepts derived from these studies have been redefined into five design strategies: connectivity, sustainability, comfort, variety, and social interaction.
