An entrepreneurial development project named One Bite Delight was conducted at De Fuego General Trias, Cavite from January 2019 to January 2020. One Bite Delight was an original idea of entrepreneurs which offered different Filipino delicacy Kakanin an innovated dessert showcasing Filipino culture and traditional foods. The idea aimed to serve variety of Pinoy kakanin for all dessert lovers as the target market. One Bite Delight became one of the businesses that offered a variety of innovated desserts, to promote and showcase the traditional and cultural way of serving Pinoy delicacies.
In operating the business, the sales skyrocketed during the second month of the operation, because of the foundation week of Cavite State University. The entrepreneurs used promotional tools to engage more customers and gain more orders. Also, the second month of the operation was the month with the highest earned profit during the entire operation period.
The promotion, entrepreneurs created concepts and ideas in every season, celebration in each month, by means of flyers and also, they used digital graphic design for online promotion. The entrepreneurs also created flyers, banners, and tarpaulin, to recognize the business with contact numbers for the costumers to reach them for order, events, and parties. Also, they offer the product to event organizers, planners, and catering business to expand the market.
For the pricing, entrepreneurs came up with a cost-based price product with the Percentage mark-up, discounts, free taste, and free box for every order of bilao package used in the operation.
For the entire months of business operation, the entries were able to generate a total sale of P27, 126.50 cash, and a total of non-current asset of P3,849.10 for a total asset of P31 , 790.35 which is equivalent in partners equity. Statement of accounts shows that the business generated P 31 ,565.00 total amount of sales, a gross profit of P12,874.25 and a net profit of PI ,790.35. With a Gross Profit Margin (GPM) of 40.79 percent, Net Profit Margin (NPM) was 5.67 percent and return on Investment (ROI) was 5.97 percent.
