A study was conducted to develop an e-learning on Nutrition and Diet Therapy which will help instructors to communicate with their students in an easier way and to minimize their time in computing grades of their students. It also aimed to help students learn and study through their own phase even without the guidance of the instructor.

The system provides functionality that can educate and encourage students to study their lessons. The system also provides forum that serves as the freedom wall of the students, topics and exercises for students and report production that can produce list of registered instructors and students together with their corresponding grade.

The proponents used Prototyping Development for the development of the system. It consists of six phases: Planning, Analysis, Architectural Design, Prototype Analysis and Design, Prototype Construction, and Prototype Testing and Evaluation. The proponents used Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) as the programming language, MySQL as the database technology for data storage, Macromedia Dreamweaver for coding the system, Adobe Photoshop for designing the webpage, Microsoft Word for the documentation, Microsoft Visio for the different diagram, Mozilla Firefox/Google Chrome and the Apache Server.

The system was evaluated by the students and instructors based on the following criteria: Information in the Program, Accuracy, Consistency, User-Interaction, Technical

Aspects of the system and materials, Efficiency, and Reliability. The system passed all the given criteria in evaluation and met all the features, functionality and the requirements to attain its objectives.
