The study has the following objectives: (1) te determine the effects of different shading materials on the growth of Vanda orchids (Vanda JVB x Vanda Joaquim and
Vanda Pranem Ornate x Rasri Gold) and (2) to find out which treatment of shading material is best suited for the growth of vanda Orchid seedlings.

A total of 96 seedlings were used in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications, composed of treatments - T, (Control), Ty (Bamboo slats), t, (fine net), T, (plastic roofing), T. (plastic sheet), and Te. (course net).

The results revealed that different shading materials greatly affected the growth of Vanda seedlings. It was proven that in using bamboo slats the seedlings grow faster with greener, longer and healthier leaves, the roots were longer, and the seedlings were taller.
