The study was conducted to isolate and identify bacteria present in the liver, heart :
and spleen of native chicken

A total of 45 organ samples were collected from fifteen native chickens. Fifteen samples each came from liver, heart and spleen. The highest number of isolates was
obtained from the liver samples.

One hundred five bacterial isolates were subjected to different morphological and physiological characterization. The genera, Micrococcus, Edwardsiella, Rhodococcus, Yersinia Enterobacter, Escherichia, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Streptococcus were isolated from liver, heart and spleen of native chicken.
