This study was conducted from October, 1992 to January TY, 1993, to determine the effect of different levels of concentration of potassium nitrate on the production of Sweet pepper and to know which level of concentration of potassium nitrate is best in the production of sweet pepper fruits.

The study made use of the split-plot design with four treatments, three sub-treatments and three replications. Potassium nitrate was applied on the sweet pepper plants at the following levels: No\Control) ; N,(200 ppm KNO3) 5 N5(300 ppm KNO,)5 N3(400 ppm KNO3), with the following sub-treatments: L, (sprayed once); Lo(sprayed twice); L3 (sprayed thrice).

Results showed that 200 ppm KNO, (sprayed thrice), was the best treatment in terms of flower production and early maturity of fruits of sweet pepper. Likewise, it was concluded that 200 ppm KNO,(sprayed thrice) was the best in the seed production of sweet pepper.
