The study, "Direct flouting of Santan on Plots Using Different Soil Media" was conducted at the Flori-culture Project of the Don Severino Agricultural college, Indang, Cavite from September 15, 1978 to November 30, 1978 to determine the response of santan cuttings to different soil media. Different soil media such as pure garden soil, sawdust, compost and sand were used as growing media for direct planting of santan. Santan cuttings were dipped into 30u ppm concentration of indolebutyric Acid to another, duce formation of roots and directly planted on different
soil media. Based on the result of this study, it was found out that santan cuttings planted in pure garden soil produced the longest shoots and roots. furthermore,.Treatment 1 (pure garden soil) gave the maximum mean number of roots which was 16.56 and an average length of roots which was 15.94 centimeters compared to .i.reatments 2, 3,6A4 4 with 8.775, 8.486, 6.200 centimeters respectively.
