A study on the management practices advocated at the REJ’s was conducted to determine the management practices in producing broiler at Trece Martires City, Cavite.
From the information gathered the findings were as follows:
The farm followed the all in and all out in disposing products 24,000 birds/cycle and made 4 batches per year.
Eight buildings, 4 brooding and 4 growing houses,with the capacity of 6,000 broilers were constructed and used in the farm.
The farm used 85 bags of feed supplemented with medicines.
Free veterinary services were rendered by the integrator.
Scientific and approved practices and management in broiler raising were followed.
Inventory of the farm was carried out by the raiser every cycle to determine its return.
The farm incurred a mortality rate below the standard allowance of 5% birds.
The farm realized a P32,000 or P1.33/bird/cycle.
