The study "Response of Rose Cuttings to Different Dipping Duration in Naphthalene Acetic Acid" was con-ducted from September 15, 1979 to December 26, 1979 at Poblacion, Indang, Cavite. The purpose was to deter-mine the response of rose cuttings to different dipping duration in 750 ppm Naphthalene Acetic Acid and to deter-mine which of the duration is best suited for rooting rose cuttings.
Highly significant result was obtained in the average length of roots per treatment, while significant result was obtained in the number of days from planting to rooting. Insignificant results were obtained in the average weight of roots in grams per treatment, average number of sprout per treatment and percentage of survival.
Treatment 3 (60 seconds dipping in 750 ppm NAA) proved to be the most effective duration of dipping as shown by the early formation of longest and heaviest roots as compared to other treatments. It had also the highest average number of sprouts and percentage of survival.
