This research investigated the self-concept, work attitude and gay language of selected gays in the municipality of Indang, Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to assess the respondents demographic profile in terms of age, educational attainment and occupation; to assess the self- concept of the respondents; to assess the attitudes of respondents towards their work; to assess the significant relationship between self -concept and language of the respondents; to assess the significant relationship between the work attitude and gay language of the respondents; and to assess the self-concept and work attitude of the selected gays in the municipality of Indang, Cavite. This research was conducted at the municipality of Indang, Cavite in the month of October 2006 to January 2007. A descriptive normative-survey method of research was used in the study. Seventy-one (71) gays coming from the municipality of Indang were the respondents of the study. Out of 71 respondents, 37 or 52.1 percent were 25 yrs and below; 19 or 26.8 percent of the respondents aged 26 to 30 yrs; 15 or 21.1 percent of the respondents were 31 yrs and above. The findings imply that the respondents were mostly young adults. In educational attainment, there were three (3) or 4.2 percent of the respondents finished elementary; 50 or 70.4 percent High School Graduate and 18 or 25.4 percent of the respondents finished college. There were 31 or 43.7 percent were beautician; 4 or 5.6 percent were vendor; 13 or 18.3 were Helper; 2 or 2.8 were Government Employee; 14 or 19.7 were factory worker; 3 or 4.2 were self-employed lastly 4 or 5.6 were Teacher. Most of the respondents were on the high level of self -concept as well as their work attitude.
This study revealed that there is a significant relationship between self-concept and gay language of the respondents. Also, it revealed that there is no significant relationship between work attitude and gay language of the respondents. And lastly, that finding implies that there is a significant relationship between self- concept and work attitude of selected gays in the municipality of Indang.
