Rodriguez The study determined the personality type and its relation with leadership readiness of selected third year students of the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Nursing in Cavite State University Don Severino de las Alas Campus Indang, Cavite AY 2005-2006. Specifically, this study sought to: (1) determine the demographic profile of the respondents; the gender and civil status (2) identify the prevailing personality type of the respondents (3) know the kind of Leadership Readiness is manifested by each respondent and; (4) examine whether the personality type has a relation with leadership readiness of the respondents. The study used the descriptive survey method to find out if there is a significant relationship between personality type and leadership readiness of selected third year students of the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Nursing in Cavite State University Don Severino de las Alas Campus Indang, Cavite AY 2005-2006. Descriptive statistics such as frequency counts and percentages were used in determining the demographic characteristics of the respondents; and chi-square test used in determining the relationship between personality type and leadership readiness. The study covered the one hundred fifteen of selected third year students of the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Nursing in Cavite State University Indang, Cavite AY 2005-2006. The instrument used in the data gathering procedure were Temperamental Type Test by Onelshy.com to determine the personality type and Leadership Readiness checklist adopted by Dubrin 1995 as cited by Davis 2003 to know the level of readiness of the respondents. As the relationship of personality type and leadership readiness, the study revealed that the null hypothesis is accepted that means there is no significant relationship between personality type and leadership readiness of selected third year students of the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Nursing in Cavite State University Indang, Cavite AY 2005-2006.
