The study was conducted to consolidate important information that is frequently asked in the Provincial Planning and Development Office that would increase the convenience for locating a specific area and for easy access of information regarding to a real estate property. The system includes necessary information such as viewing of maps and agricultural and industrial profile of different municipalities in the 2" District of Cavite. The system also allows the administrator to update, modify and delete maps and profile. Profiles and maps can also be downloaded. The proponents used the Prototyping Model in designing and developing the system. The prototyping model is composed of five phases namely: the Requirement Analysis, Software Design, Program Coding, Testing and Revisions.
The system coding and interface was designed using Visual Studio C# and Macromedia Flash 8. The MSSQL was used by the proponents as the database management. The system was evaluated through acceptance testing. Evaluators were consisting of employees from the Provincial Planning and Development Office and walk-in clients/researchers in the said office. The study met all the requirements specified and all its objectives. The results of the evaluation showed that the study was an efficient tool in handling maps and profiles.
