The study aimed to determine how freedom of expression is exercised on the CvSU Electronic Freedom Wall by the students of CvSU. Specifically, it sought to determine the demographic profile of the selected CvSU students posting messages on the EFW; the level of awareness on the freedom of expression of the selected CvSU students posting messages on the EFW; the level of awareness on the EFW of the selected CvSU students posting messages on it; the frequency of writing/posting of messages of selected CvSU students on the EFW; the frequency of the posts created per visit by the selected CvSU students on the EFW; the types of threads and comments posted on the EFW; if the threads conform to the limits of freedom of expression; and the practice of freedom of expression of selected CvSU students posting messages on the EFW.
The study was conducted among 370 students of Cavite State University Main Campus in Indang, Cavite who have posted at least one message on the CvSU Electronic Freedom Wall.
Survey questionnaires were utilized to obtain the respondents' level of awareness on the freedom of expression, level of awareness on the EFW, the frequency of writing/posting of messages of selected CvSU students on the EFW, the types of messages posted on the EFW, and the conformity of the messages on the EFW to the limits of freedom of expression.
The number of respondents for the survey was obtained using the Slovin's formula.
