Adviser: Evelyn del Mundo, RN<br/><br/>The study entitled "Assessment on the Psychological Support of Family Members and Teachers' Perception in Relation to Academic Performance of Sensory Impaired<br/>Children in Two Selected Schools of Cavite" was conducted during the second grading of school year 2007-2008 at Rosario Elementary School in Rosario, Cavite and Blessed Ville Special School Foundation Inc., in Alfonso, Cavite. The main objective of the study was to determine the psychological support of family members and teachers' perception of the academic performance of sensory impaired children. Specifically, it sought to: a. identify which among the psychological measures are commonly used by the family to improve child's academic performance such as emotional, cognitive and psycho physiological support; b. determine how effective is  psychological support of family in the two selected schools in Cavite based on the teachers' perception and c. determine the relationship between the psychological support in terms of emotional, cognitive and psycho physiological support and academic perfomance of sensory impaired children.<br/><br/>A total of 60 family members of sensory impaired students and 5 teachers was the subject of investigation.<br/><br/>The study used the descriptive method of research. The researchers used the purposive non quota for the selection Of subject. The researchers utilized the self-made questionnaires and the grade point average (GPA) of the selected students for the second grading period.<br/><br/>The study revealed that there was a significant effect of both emotional and | cognitive support of family members on the academic performance of the sensory | impaired children and accept the hypothesis that states: there was no significant effect of | psycho physiological support of family members and teachers’ perception in relation to academic performance of the sensory impaired children. |<br/><br/>Results showed that of the psychological support, emotional support was the most commonly used measures of the family members with the average of 3.47.<br/><br/>The result of Spearman’s rho test showed that the computed correlation of 549 with significant of .000 for emotional and 365 for computed correlation coefficient with significant of .005 had effect to the academic performance. :<br/><br/>This would mean that both psychological supports were highly significant. While the psycho physiological support had computed correlation coefficient of -.124 with significant of .347 which had no effect to the academic performance of the sensory<br/> impaired children.<br/><br/>Generally, psychological support had effect to the academic performance of the | sensory impaired children. It was also recommended that the parents must give more emphasis on psycho physiological support to improve the academic performance of their children.<br/>
