Sarmiento Jr. The "Design and Development of Microcontroller — Based Electronic Programmable Announcement Board" was conducted at 141 J. Dimabiling St. Poblacion 4, Indang, Cavite. The general objective of the study was to design, develop and construct a functional microcontroller-based electronic programmable announcement board. Specifically, it aimed to construct a microcontroller circuit, construct a circuit for the display unit, develop a program for the system using assembly language, to test and evaluate the functionality of the system, and to determine the cost of the system. The electronic programmable announcement board was designed to display four (4) lines of scrolling up message and can accommodate up to maximum of ten (10) messages. Each line can have twenty (20) characters and each message can have up to two hundred (200) characters. Time and date are also displayed on the board. Messages are encoded using a keypad. Personal computer can also be used as an alternative input device.
