The design and development of The College of Engineering and Information Technology Faculty and Staff Tracking System ID Device was conducted at Langkaan-2, Dasmarifias, Cavite and at J. Dimabiling St. Barangay 4, Indang, Cavite. The general objective of the study was to design, develop, and construct Faculty and Staff Tracking System ID Device. The ID device was composed of two (2) main components: the PIC 16F876 microcontroller and the Bluetooth module. The DIP switch was set to form the unique code. The PIC 16F876 sets the Bluetooth module to mode LOW, which is the parameter setting mode. The PIC 16F876 will read the code from the DIP switch. The microcontroller will use the code to change the default name of the Bluetooth module through the use of AT command. The 'name' corresponds to the unique code from the DIP switch. When the default name is changed, the Bluetooth module will be set to mode HIGH, which is the normal mode (continuously transmit). The device underwent a series of testing and evaluation, alongside with the Base device and the display board. The ID device successfully transmitted a signal with a unique code that was detected by the corresponding Base Device.
