The study on the “Growth Response of Phalaenopsis Protocorm to Naphthalene Acetic Acid in Combination with Different Levels of Kinetin” was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Research Center, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from June to November 2001. Specifically it aimed to determine the growth response of Phalaenopsis protocorms to Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) in combination with different levels of Kinetin.

Results showed that Auxin in combination with different levels of Kinetin had a significant effect on the growth and development of Phalaenopsis protocorms especially in terms of root initiation, leaf formation and leaf expansion. In this area of growth and development, F-test or ANOVA revealed significant differences among the treatments with the highest level of NAA at 8 ppm NAA and Kinetin at 8 ppm (Ts) exhibiting the most remarkable growth. Lowest growth rate was exhibited by plants treated with NAA alone (T}).
