Signo. <br/><br/>The study focused on the construction of masculinity in the movie Manila Kingpin: The Untold Story of Asiong Salonga. The construction of masculinity was analyzed through the claims, claims-makers, and the claims-making process in the movie. In the evaluation of film, the researcher utilized the roles of male characters through seven dominant characteristics: character role, physical descriptions, socioeconomic status, family structures and practices, sexuality, and aggression. Manila Kingpin: The Untold Story of Asiong Salonga demonstrated more scenes with physical aggression and violence. In the analysis of claims-makers, the actors and the directors generated the image of the characters and portrayed the characterization of the roles. <br/>They utilized masculinity through the portrayals of the actors, on the film making process (Pre-Production, Production and Post-production) and masculinity on the context of the message. In the evaluation of claims-making process, the construction of masculinity is derived through the introduction, rising action, climax, falling action and the resolution. Likewise, the study asserts that the movie Manila Kingpin: The Untold Story of Asiong Salonga constructed masculinity through its claims, claims-makers, and the claims- making process that made up the Social Constructionist Perspective. affirmed the construction of reality as compelling and valid. <br/>
