AUSTRAL, KARL IVAN S., BAUYON, RIZA G., and MERCADO, MITZI GRACE ALLYSON E. Development of Computerized Election System of Cavite State University Science High School. A Research Study (General Science Curriculum), Science High School, College of Education, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Prof. Marlon R. Perefia.

The study entitled “Development of Computerized Election System of Cavite State University Science High School” was conducted from November 2014 to January 2015 to provide an easy and convenient access and process of election, and summarizing and generating its results. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) determine the usability of the software in terms of ease of use and accessibility; 2) evaluate the accuracy of the software based on consistency of data and its performance in task completion; and, 3) evaluate the efficiency of the software.

The methodology used in the study was the software development methodology. It includes the phases such as analyzing/planning, breakdown priority project, design module, code test, debug, integration of sub modules and testing, integration of existing system, and test and implementation.

The system was evaluated by 100 students of Cavite State University Science High School as the respondents using a score sheet based on ISO 9126. The findings of the study indicated that the system was outstanding in usability, accuracy, and efficiency.

Although the developed system was successful, the researchers recommend to: 1) generate the votes per grade level and section for more specific reports; 2) add an option wherein the information except the results can be edited; 3) add a report showing the status of election; and, 4) modify the software wherein it can be accessed using smartphones.
