DINGLASAN VERNANDO,P„ Don Severino Agricultural Colleges Indang, Cavite September, 1988 "Performance of Tree Tomato Varieties Applied With Varying Levels of Chicken Manure During Wet Season% Adviser: Mr. Adolfo C. Manuel Jr

The performance of three tomato varieties as affected by varying levels chicken manure was evaluated during the 1988 wet season at the experimental field of the Don Severino Agricultural Colleges Indang, Cavite, The treatments were laid in a 500 square meter land using split plot design with three replications. The three tomato varieties (Bonanza, Marikit and Panagulan) were assigned as main plots, and the chicken manure levels (controls two tons per hectare and four tons per hectare) as the sub-plots. All plant parameters evaluated were not significantly affected by the three levels of chicken manure. However, significant difference among the three tomato varieties were observed with respect to plant height and can number of days to fruit development. Interaction between the variety and chicken manure application failed to show significant effects in improving the performance of the three varieties, Untreated Panagulan produced 4.01 tons per hectare. The treatments produced yields lower than four tons per hectare,
