This study was conducted from June 2014 to February 2015 at Cavite State University- Indang, Cavite. Generally, the study aimed to determine the family structure, social relationship and academic motivation of selected academic scholars of Cavite State University- Indang, Cavite A-Y- 2014-2015-
The study used the comparative-correlational method to compare and sought relationship on the independent and dependent variables. Stratified random sampling was also used to obtain the sample population- The participants were the 207 selected academic scholars of Cavite State University- Indang, Cavite A. Y. 2014-2015. The instruments used were Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) and Academic Motivation Scale (AMS).
The results showed that academic scholars belonging to single-parent, grandparent, separated, and step family were found to have significant differences of their social relationship in terms of parents. Result was also found that there was no significant difference on academic motivation according to family structure. Lastly, significant relationship was found in social relationship of academic scholars towards their peers and academic motivation-
Activities related to enhancing students' skills and motivation and child-parent relationship were recommended.
